Day 5: Game Objective and Enemy
No visuals today. Made a first enemy. It has sprite and a simple walk animation. AI is simple, but has character. This enemy walks only in cardinal directions. I can easily take this and make one enemy that moves only diagonally and one that always walks directly at the player. Then make one that moves only left right, keeps distance from player but throws fireballs and so on. This way I should quickly get a large number of monsters.
That I will need, since I plan on making 4 areas. The final objective of the game will be to find one of the 4 gemstones in each area and bring them to a shrine in the forrest. That shrine I drew today, since yesterdays version didn't look great. This one is fine I think. When you have all 4 gemstones you ascend as a demigod and win. I'll copy that objective from nethack, because my sister like that game :)
I aso feel more confident in my music skills now. Will probably manage to get a good theme per area. Not yet a fan of the current desert drawings though. We'll see.
