Day 3/4: Art, Plot, Plan and overscope
Today and yesterday evening I added extra music and decided the game should have 4 areas. Probably Desert, Forrest, Cave and Castle that you can visit in any order and need to retrieve the 4 gems to ascend or something.
Made a main menu and better HUD yesterday.
I made some scrappy art for the desert and have music for forrest, desert and a start of the cave. The art isnt great, but I hope it will fit together in a way.
The first drawings for the desert. Not happy with the hill yet, but I'll need something like that...
Map design and changing maps shouldnt be too big of a problem. Each area will need enemies though. Some will probably just be recolors and they won't be especially complex, but this will most likely be the largest task left.
